Lufthansa Pilots Temporarily Suspend Strikes

After five days of widespread disruptions, Lufthansa pilots have temporarily suspended their strike actions. However, no resolution has been reached in the ongoing labor dispute.

The Vereinigung Cockpit union, representing the pilots, stated that no new strikes are planned in the near future and that both parties are preparing for potential mediation talks. Previous mediation efforts had failed due to disagreements on key issues.

During the peak period, more than half of the approximately 1,300 flights at Frankfurt Airport were canceled in a single day. Lufthansa expects operations to largely return to normal now that the strikes have ended, but some delays and cancellations may continue temporarily.
